THE ROLE
We are seeking a strategic and driven B2B Marketing Manager to join our team and work on a key marketing and corporate communications project for a major client – the contract supply division of a national home products brand.
This is a fantastic opportunity to plan and execute marketing initiatives for a high-profile B2B programme targeted at housebuilders, developers, contractors, and architects. Working as part of our agency team, you’ll be responsible for developing and delivering the overall marketing strategy, managing messaging and content, shaping brand narratives, and providing reports and recommendations to help elevate the brand’s profile in the trade sector.
Additionally, you will work closely with the client’s stakeholders across the business and manage their corporate communications channels, enhancing the brand’s reputation and driving engagement with key audiences.
You’ll need strong communication skills and a good grasp of how to position B2B brands in technical or specification-led markets.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES (BUT NOT LIMITED TO)
- Act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the client’s contract division, aligning marketing efforts with business development goals.
- Develop and implement integrated marketing strategies to support B2B project objectives and commercial growth.
- Produce compelling content for trade audiences, from social media content, newsletters and case studies to email campaigns and trade PR.
- Create and manage content marketing campaigns across web, email, social media, and trade publications to drive awareness and lead generation.
- Act as brand guardian, ensuring consistent tone and messaging across all channels and materials.
- Liaise with media partners, PR contacts, and design teams to ensure effective delivery across all channels.
- Manage and grow the client’s CRM database, ensuring accurate segmentation, data quality, and targeted engagement across campaigns.
- Stay informed about market trends to add value to client conversations and suggest content for campaigns.
- Collaborate with business development teams to produce high-impact pitch decks, case studies, and client comms.
- Support with event planning, trade show presence, and internal stakeholder engagement.
- Measure campaign effectiveness and prepare performance reports with insights and recommendations for optimisation.
- Lead all corporate communications, including press releases, executive messaging, and reputation-building initiatives.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in B2B marketing within the manufacturing, home products or construction-related industries.
- A relevant degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, or a related field.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging messages.
- Commercially aware with an understanding of lead generation and customer acquisition strategies.
- Comfortable managing complex projects, stakeholders, and multiple deadlines.
- Client-facing confidence and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Analytical mindset – comfortable with data, KPIs, and reporting tools.
- Experience briefing designers, liaising with media, and working collaboratively with internal teams.
- Proven track record of delivering effective corporate communications strategies for professional audiences, working with senior stakeholders and managing reputational communications.
- Strategic thinking combined with a hands-on, delivery-focused mindset.
