Wilson is a star!

Our client, David Wilson Homes, is sponsoring a Labrador puppy whilst he completes his guide dog training.

We are kept up to date with Wilson’s progress, as he completes his first year of training with his Puppy Walker, with report cards. It is a little like being at puppy school; Wilson is marked on his health, his skills, and his socialisation experience and we are pleased to announce that he has passed his second progress report with flying colours! Although, with all youngsters, he still has things to improve on and learn.

Wilson scored the highest mark (excellent) in all five tests of his health which included having all of his adult teeth and a good appetite. He is also excellent at being handled and responding to commands such as ‘sit’ and ‘stay’. However, Wilson needs some work on his toileting routine as he is expected to stay clean on walks and respond to ‘busy’ command when toileting. Overall though, his report card is very good with just some room to improve in situations like travelling on trains and being left alone for up to 3 hours during the day.

Wilson recently visited the Mercia office in Meriden as part of his training where our photographer, Steve Baker, was able to catch up with him and his Puppy Walkers. He showed everyone at the Mercia office the training skills he had been learning. At 8 months old, we and David Wilson Homes believe he is a star!
